Urine Specimen Collector and In-house Collector Trainer

ADATC’s Collection Training class is designed to help you meet the legal and administrative requirements to collect employment level urine drug specimens.  This program is based on the latest revisions to 49 CFR Part 40, the collection standard. . Seminar attendees receive training and certification as either a Collector or as an In-house Collector Trainer.

Collection Facilities must have:

• A qualified collections trainer
  
• An error correction training program
  
• A training program for newly hired collectors
  
• Protocol for directly observed collections
  
• Understanding of the impact of a PIE
  

Collectors must know:

• Protocol for the new drug and alcohol Custody Control Form (CCF)
  
• When directly observed collections are required & when optional
  
• What collection errors result in canceled tests and require collector re-training

*Collectors who do not have a trainer available to conduct proficiencies may call to register for proficiency verification on the second morning for $50

Collector Certification - 6 hour Qualification class.                                  Register Online
Collector certification for urine drug screening procedures.
Includes DOT regulations.  Does not include proficiencies.

In-House Collector Trainer Certification - 12 hour class.                         Register Online
An In-House Collector Trainer will be qualified to develop a
program to effectively train present staff, perform newly hired
collector training and error correction training for your facility.
Class will include proficiency testing. Trainers will receive:
Collector Manual, the Department of Transportation's 49 CFR Part 40,
trainer manual with training templates and overhead transparencies.
